Bio
Lisa Carney grew up on the Gaspe peninsula, Quebec Canada. An artistic
family inspired her love for Art and Music. Lisa holds a University degree
in Visual Arts and furthered her studies over the years by experimenting
with different methods and techniques.
For her, being an artist represents playing the many roles skill and
knowledge grant her. She has chosen the name Asil to sign her art which is
her first name spelled backwards and symbolizes her creative inner child.
The communication of her emotions whether it be by singing or by visual
art, demonstrates the eclectic, obscure and occult part of her personality
hidden like a secret that she wants so much to reveal
